Manor House Facility Questions

1. What's the latest hour for our event?

To respect our neighbors, we end all music and events at 11:00pm.

2. What time does the bridal suite open?

Bridal suite opens at 11:00am. You may come in as early as 9:00am for additional costs.

3. Do we have the bridal and groom suites all day?

Yes, the suites will remain available to you for the entirety of your event.

4. Does Manor House Staff set up & breakdown client supplied items?

Yes along with the help of 2 people who are willing to assist in set-up and breakdown

5. Can we close off the reception ballroom during cocktail hour?

Due to occupancy we cannot close any doors leading out to the ballroom.

6. How often do we hold event planning meetings? 

Minimum of 4 meetings with additional meeting upon request. We prefer you to include us when you are ready to plan at your pace. We will prompt you as we near your celebration to ensure a steady pace. 

7. Are all of your lighting packages included? 

Yes, we offer customized professional uplighting with color options to enhance your evening.

8. Is your Ballroom tent air-conditioning really included?

Yes! We invested in this feature to enhance your experience in our outdoor setting. 

9. Do you really help plan my wedding, or is it just general assistance?

We place ourselves fully into your wedding, treating it as if you had hired a comprehensive planner. Our package price includes our commitment to immersing ourselves in your plans, assisting with vendor contact, and ensuring that all elements of your wedding are seamlessly coordinated as we approach your wedding day. 

10. Can I hire my own event planner?

Absolutely! If you’re more comfortable hiring a planner to work with you and us, please do so. Take a look at our creative partners page for our recommendations.

11. Why are so many features included in your package

Our family believes in delivering for our clients! If we can help absorb the costs of necessary upgrades at a venue such as ours, (lighting, comfort, food, etc.) it allows you to invite more guests. More guests lead to more social media chatter. Most importantly, our model allows you to invite more friends and family for you to celebrate with! 

12. How many events per day does The Manor House host?

Your event is exclusive for the day! 

13. How do we book The Manor House at Prophecy Creek Park?

After touring the location, please advise if you wish to proceed with your desired date! We will stay in-touch but feel free to contact sales@manorhouseprophecycreek.com to reserve your date. 

Catering & Event Services Questions

1. May I bring my own caterer?

Since opening 2010, Robert Fair Caterers is the exclusive caterer for The Manor House at Prophecy Creek Park. Caterers for Kosher-style are welcome for Kosher specific events. 

2. What is the advantage of a venue with included catering?

We meticulously designed the location after decades of catering venues across Philadelphia. The catering company, Robert Fair Caterers, designed the Manor House specifically for successful events. We serve as your primary contact for planning your wedding and arranging food service details, thereby eliminating the need for intermediaries. This is our sole location. 

3. How do we handle gratuity?

In essence, gratuity is not mandatory for the service staff. They are compensated at a reasonable rate to support themselves, which contributes to the establishment of a highly skilled and dedicated team of regular service staff. However, if you wish to do so, you are welcome to provide a tip at your discretion for the event.  

4. Is there a cake cutting and corkage fee?

Nope!  We are pleased to open your bottles free of charge. Table side wine service with dinner is also complimentary, just bring the wine!

5. Do you include bartenders with your event staff?

Yes! Some of our bartenders have been with us for over 15 years. We use RAMP certified bartenders to ensure quality in service. 

6. Can you explain the BYOB arrangement. How does it work

  1. Locations like ours, which cannot sell liquor, depend on you to provide the beer and liquor. We have a crafted list with decades of proven experience to ensure quantities. 

    1. We have a local beer distributor who handles delivery and pickup of your draft beer. 

    2. The local liquor store is just down the road. We will help you select your list. Please bring the selections with your other day-of items during the week of your wedding. We’ll confirm everything and sign off on your delivery. 

  2. It’s imperative to note the cost savings with the above model. You hand craft your own list and set your own price. Our planners do this for all our clients together.

7. I feel like I will have a million questions. What's a good time range to contact my event planner? What kind of support will I have when things get stressful?

You’re getting married! There are going to be hundreds if not thousands of questions you will naturally have. Please ask them! We expect to hear from you early in the morning, mid-day on a lunch break, or even late into the evening (and for our nurses and EMT’s…overnight too!). We’ll handle the stressful parts for you, just keep in touch. 

8. Can we use credit from an included food station towards an upgraded food station?

Yes! This is handled on a case-to-case basis.

9. How does Robert Fair Caterers accommodate food allergies?

All allergy foods will be prepared in a separate part of our kitchen and stored separately to ensure no cross-contamination.

10. How often do you accommodate food-related allergens?

Every – Single – Event. We take allergies seriously. We will create custom meals for your guests and their dietary needs.
